This article focuses on the six main factors that make up 90% of audits in Audit Recovery.
These factors are crucial in identifying audit discrepancies and achieving cost savings. Here are the six factors we closely monitor in Audit Recovery, which account for 90% of total audits:
-
Late shipments:
-
Address Corrections:
These are shipments delivered to incorrect, incomplete or bad addresses. If any information provided on the delivery address, such as the house/building number, street name, state, or zip code is incorrect or incomplete, it can lead to mis-shipment. Carriers will charge you for the reasonable efforts they make to correct/complete the address, but we will recover the bogus charges.

Voids (UPS only):
Voids refer to shipping labels that are printed but are not actually used for shipping. If shipping labels are printed but the package is not shipped, and the shipping label is not voided in the system, UPS will charge for this. -
Saturday Delivery:
This encompasses shipments that are supposed to be delivered on Saturdays but end up being delivered on Sunday or the following week. Failure to meet the promised delivery date can lead to additional expenses.
-
Saturday Pickup:
This category involves shipments that are supposed to be picked up on Saturdays but are actually picked up on Sunday or the following week. Delays in pickup can result in increased shipping costs.
-
Other:
Under the "Other" category in audits, we encounter uncategorized credits. In most cases, these credits include late shipments, as we have not yet been able to validate them due to the carriers' inability to indicate them in the carrier site.
