What is Weight?

Dimensional Weight

The dimensional weight is the package's actual cost, determined by its calculated rating. This rating is derived by multiplying the package's length, width, and height, then divided by a factor known as the dimensional factor (or dim divisor). When comparing the dimensional weight to the actual weight, carriers will use the greater of the two to determine the package's shipping cost.
The Actionable Insights for High Weight Packages highlights packages that exceed your typical weight range, providing valuable visibility into potential cost savings opportunities.
