What is "Not Previously Billed" Surcharge?

Shippers sometimes make mistakes when providing accurate shipping details, such as the package's size and weight. When this occurs, carriers adjust the billed charges accordingly, factoring in the corrected dimensions, weight, and any applicable surcharges. For UPS, charges are applied once the shipping label is printed and processed in their system. When UPS identifies necessary adjustments, the additional charges are reflected on the shipper's next invoice under "Not Previously Billed Surcharges." These charges can be viewed on the Platform under the Spend by Surcharge Breakdown pie chart and in the Shipment Detailed Report. In some cases, they may also appear as a "UPS Billing Adjustment.
