What are Returns?

Returns involve sending shipments back to the original shipper or a designated return center. They can happen for several reasons, including product defects, incorrect orders, or customer dissatisfaction. The goal of returns is typically to receive a refund, replacement, or exchange.

When shipping packages, shippers may include a return shipping label to make it easier for customers to return items if needed.

The Platform shows surcharges associated with the returns under the Surcharge Spend Vital Factor Card, and can be seen in the Shipment Detailed Report as services tagged with the name returns (e.g., Return Ground, Returns Next Day Air, etc.).
