This article will help us understand the importance of a GRI report, and the different ways on how to view and download a GRI report.
The GRI (General Rate Increase) Reports helps companies determine the impact of the carriers' General Rate Increase (GRI) to their shipping expenses.
GRI Potential Impact Tool
- It models the GRI Impact using Reveel's Agreement Monitoring feature to model your carrier billing data from the current year as if it were rated on your current Active agreement in the platform.
- ***Disclaimer, if you negotiated and implemented a new carrier agreement in the current year, and you have indicated in the platform that the new carrier agreement is your Active Agreement, then the tool will model all of your shipment data that was rated on the previous carrier agreement as if it were on the current Active Agreement.
- This shows clients areas in their Active Agreement that are most impacted by the new rates and rules announced by the carriers and clearly points out what service levels are most impacted by the new rates.
To generate the GRI Impact Report, go to Agreement Monitoring tab > GRI Potential impact. Choose which carrier you would like to run your GRI Potential Impact for, Add your Active Agreement for Comparison, and the app will provide you with the impact of the GRI on your chosen agreement and shipping data. 
*By Clicking the "Download your analysis" Button, this will route you the the reporting tab which will allow you to run the GRI Report with your preferred filters
2024 Forecast Report
- An excel file that will show actual data and a detailed report in CSV format.
- Compares 2023 real data to 2024 projected spend, where the projection includes changes due to the GRI and any newly negotiated agreement changes in 2023
- For example, the client negotiated a new agreement in the middle of the current year that saved them 20% and the impact of the GRI is a 10% increase, then the net change in spend would actually be a 10% reduction.
- Also includes agreement discount term expirations which may occur in 2024!
- This report will show the difference between what you actually spent in 2023 and what we think you will spend, all things considered, in 2024.
To create this report, go to Reports tab > Create a Report -> 2024 Forecast Report. Choose your carrier and date range then click on "Create a Report". This will appear in the Download a Report section of the page.
2024 GRI Impact Report
- Compares 2023 data modeled with your latest agreement to 2024 projected spend, so that the difference only includes the GRI. This report removes any differences due to a mid-2023 agreement negotiation as well as expirations.
- This report only shows the difference we expect you will see due to the GRI alone.
